| Details: | SUMMARY: Returned my call re: total coliform alert repeat DETAILS: Delores returned my call re: re-sample requirements. She had submitted a routine marked sample on 12-18 instead of marking a "repeat." I explained the need for 4 additional samples including one from the source (since the location of the sample house was up the hill near the spring) and one from the same location. She had taken the follow-up sample from a different location. The spring source was inaccessible because of snow and would have required dipping out of a tank after removing a lid. She offered to sample the well which is much lower elevation in the system and is also a location for the addition of chlorine. Difficulty in submitting samples for this system is a challenge. They must be taken and driven to Baker City same morning to by placed with courier to Magic Valley Lab only on Wednesdays. We will await the result of the sample taken. No more samples until at least Jan. 8, 2014 because of holiday schedules. 5 samples needed in January. Dolores is the only city staff or official there is. ACTION NEEDED: Review sample results and make appropriate requests for follow up. | ||
