| Details: | SUMMARY: Low Chlorine Residual DETAILS: The Northwest Newberg Water District is located adjacent to the City of Newberg and purchases finished water from the City. The District serves 200 people through 62 connections. Water from the City flows through the distribution system and through a master meter to connect to the District. The Circuit Rider was contacted by Ron Dingman due to low chlorine residuals present in the District’s water distribution system. The residuals have approached non-detect levels. Visited the water district and took chlorine current chlorine residual levels in the district’s distribution system immediately following the master meter. The chlorine level was measured at 0.02 ppm. Contacted the City of Newberg City Engineer, Jay Harris, PE. Mr. Harris requested that we provide a letter detailing the concerns so that he could pass that to City Operations staff to correct the low chlorine issue.
