Details: | SUMMARY: Alert follow-up, e. coli + confirmation samples DETAILS: The original assessment sample came back total and e. coli positive on 12-16-13. The confirmation samples were also positive for total and e.coli. Kevin and I did a site visit to assess the Springs. The collection boxes look to be upwelling springs with man holes for access to the 9-10deep collection boxes located in poison oak patches.During the visit the system cut off the use of the Springs and went onto the well SRC BC. The system shock chlorinated the system over the next few days and flushed the system. The kitchen for the golf course was not operating at that time so I instructed the staff to have the ice machines emptied and not make ice until the system had been flushed. I made 2 more site visits to the system to record Lat & longitude values for the Springs and Well. NOTE: Lab identified the Sample ID as Spring #2 and it should have been labeled Spring #1 on the original and confirmation samples.DW- Geologist may do a site visit to assess the sources. ACTION NEEDED: Take a bacteriological test when the system has been on the well and keep Boil Water Notice on until confirmation of good water is obtained.Test results of coliform sample taken on 1-13-14 confirms clean water, operator had a .2ppm chlorine residual. Lift Boil Water Notice. |
