| Details: | SUMMARY: Water Quality ALERT: COLI12463 & 2468 DETAILS: With notification of coliforms found present in 12/2 sample Debra immediately (12/4) collected repeat samples and found coliforms in 3 repeat samples, but not in source sample. [The lab did not process the 4th repeat sample, but no value of taking it at this point]With help of her maintenance person, Debra was looking for a broken line and also considered if tanks had been contaminated? She stated her chlorine residuals were consistently around .65 mg/l including daily @ EP, 2 other places in system weekly and in all instances of sampling in December. Brainstormed:How to determine if upper tanks were constantly losing water from a leak-- Measurement of chlorine residual between residences looking for low Cl strength--Sampling for coliforms from tanks--Chlorine shock of tanks and entire system. I emailed her the public notice template for unresolved coliforms for her to use with instruction to also send to DMCE after distributing. ACTION NEEDED: Before 5 temporary routine samples are due, find and resolve the source of contamination, consider chlorine shock. If no source of problem found provide chlorine shock to system. | ||
