| Details: | SUMMARY: Loss of Pressure - Precautionary Boil Water Advisory DETAILS: A user of this water system called in today to report dirty water - and loss of pressure. Dirty water is from iron in the water - explained Secondary Drinking Water Regs to user. I called Hiland Water Company to investigate loss of pressure - eventually spoke with Micah Olsen - who notified me that they had a power outage or control failure - resulting in loss of pumping capacity from the well - which caused a loss of pressure. I read Micah the BMP provisions for complete loss of pressure in non-chlorinated water system to Micah - (4.b) - which included notification of boil water. He assured me he would notify each of the users at the 12 connections to boil or drink bottled water- until Hiland can do followup bacteriological sampling and get results demonstrating the safety of the water. I also sent pdf copies of the BMPs to Marilyn at Hiland Water Company to distribute to all staff. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for water quality results. | ||
