Details:	SUMMARY: 1st quarter 2014 stage 2 DBP sampling DETAILS: Aaron notified me that the lab had an equipment malfunction and exceeded the hold time for the HAA5 samples collected during the required month of January at the four locations specified for the City. Consequently, the samples cannot be analyzed and the City will need to resample for HAA5 at all 4 locations as soon as possible. TTHM samples were analyzed appropriately at all 4 locations and within the minimum hold time, so we discussed that TTHM samples would not need to re-sampled. We discussed that the City would not be assessed a violation for not sampling HAA5s during the required month of January as long as samples were collected during 1st quarter and results sent to DWS by April 10th. We also discussed that is acceptable to have TTHMs sampled during January and HAA5s sampled during February. ACTION NEEDED: City to re-collect HAA5 samples at all four locations as soon as possible and send results to DWS. DWS to offer support to City in any Stage 2 DBP questions.
