| Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrate Alert Response DETAILS: 2/14/14 - Received alert for nitrate result of 11.5 mg/l collected 1/28/14 at house 5 pou unit. Spoke with Marc. Directed him to contact that homes occupant with nitrate public notice info. The RO units had been serviced shortly before the samples were colected. Results from the other five homes tested under the MCL. Marc will collect a follow up sample at the home that failed, and also an untreated source sample. 2/21/14 - Received results from follow up samples. Sample at the home tested at 14.4 mg/l and the source sample tested at 40.9 mg/l. Marc will contact the RO unit manufacturer to see what advice they can offer. 3/11/14 - Spoke with Marc. The manufacturer suggested the membrane may not have been broken in properly before the samples were collected. The membrane in the unit that failed was replaced, and is having water flushed through according to the manufacturers recommendations. Another sample from the unit will be collected 3/13/14. ACTION NEEDED: Further action to be based on next sample results. | ||
