Details: SUMMARY: Routine total coliform positive samples DETAILS: Received a call from Art on April 10th regarding two routine total coliform-positive samples collected April 9th. Art noted that China Hat Well #1 and #2 (SRC-AA & SRC-AB) were the only wells in use at the time. Repeat samples were being collected that day in addition to source samples. We discussed the 30-day public notice requirements. The plan is to continue with sampling to evaluate coliform occurrence in the distribution system. <pr>Art will notify our office of repeat and triggered sampling results. See April 4th contact report for more information.

Art called on April 15th to discuss repeat and triggered source samples collected on April 10th. All samples were absent. Possible cause of coliform bacteria may have been due to turning on China Hat #2 well and sending water into distribution system before pumping to waste. The plan is to continue coliform monitoring to evaluate extent of coliform bacteria and determine whether issue has been corrected. ACTION NEEDED: Discuss outcome of coliform monitoring at the end of the month.
