| Details: | SUMMARY: Regulatory assistance DETAILS: System submitted another sample with a nitrate result exceeding the MCL. Han, owner, has a contractor working on the treatment system. A local water lab collected the most recent sample, 1/7/14 and classified the sample as routine instead of special. Mr. Kim again stated no water is being served to the public and the required nitrate public notice is still posted. I again recommended to Mr. Kim that samples be marked special while work is being done and treatment is being assessed. The system was also informed to submit a routine sample for nitrate testing after work on the treatment system is completed. ACTION NEEDED: Repair/replace treatment system, resample and verify nitrate below MCl. | ||
