Details: | SUMMARY: Regulatory assistance DETAILS: System submitted a third nitrate sample with a result exc3eding the MCL> I visited the store to determine corrective action. Han, owner, has posted out of order signs on the soda and coffee machines and posted a notice on the door stating that no water is available. Bagged ice is purchased from a vendor. I filled in a public nitrate notice for the system and had the owner post the notice on the front door. The owner plans to have the treatment system repaired by a contractor but a timeline for corrective action is currently undetermined. The owner will keep me updated. ACTION NEEDED: Determine reason for high nitrate, take corrective action, resample and verify nitrate below MCL. | ||
