| Details: | Background/Problem Identification: The City of Dundee, Oregon wants to determine if they have sufficient chlorine contact time through their current water system configuration. Assistance Provided: 5/15/20 – Received a request from Civil West (Marlin Gochnour) to assist City of Dundee with this tracer study. 5/20/20 – Contacted City of Dundee, Chuck Simpson, to update Tracer Study reporting form to update system modifications completed since last tracer study conducted in 2018. 5/27/20 – Submitted compiled tracer study data required for new tracer study to Chuck Simpson study. 5/29/20 – Received confirmation that Tracer Study Pre-Approval data was complete from Chuck Simpson. 6/2/20 – Pre-approval report for the CT test was written and submitted to OHA for review and approval. 6/8/20 – Nicole Alfafara from OHA called Robert Almanza (HECO) regarding CT test pre- approval questions and comments. OHA approved CT test pre-approval. 7/10/20 – HECO Engineers conducted on-site consultation and observance of the CT study test. HECO Engineers re-conducted CT study since it required 4-5 hours on day of study to obtain lower baseline chlorine residual levels at the first user than at the injection point to properly initiate the test according to OHA standards. 7/21/20 – HECO Engineers sent email to Marlin Gochnour at Civil West for approval to contact OHA regarding time extension due to additional time required to complete tracer study on-site on 7/10/20. Civil West approved. 7/21/20 – HECO Engineers sent Time Extension request to Tony Fields at OHA for City of Dundee Tracer Study regarding additional time required to complete test conducted on-site on 7/10/20. 7/24/20 – HECO Engineers submitted data analysis and final CT Study test report for OHA’s review and comment. |
