Details:	SUMMARY: follow up to TC MCL April 2014 DETAILS: System had collected 5 repeat samples on April 1st. All of these samples were absent for bacteria. 5 more routine samples were collected on April 23rd - and all were positive for total coliform bacteria. The system chlorinates and a field visit by DWS verified the test method and test pillows were correct. There was no indication where these positive samples could have been contaminated from. 5 more samples were collected on 4/28. All 5 were absent for bacteria. The system needs to collect a non-chlorinated sample and 5 more routine samples in May. If the 5 routine samples are absent for bacteria, the system can resume regular monitoring. The system, after the 4/23 total coliform positive samples, went on a boil water notice. This boil water notice was not authorized by the state nor was the state informed that the system had gone a boil water notice. A telephone conversation with Mary Lou (water board secretary) brought this notice to the states attention. It is believed the system had sent out boil water notices around 4/24-25.I informed her to immediately retract the boil water notice and sent electronic templates of the correct public notices. A follow up conversation with the DRC was held and I explained that this was not a boil water notice event. ACTION NEEDED: System is to collect a source sample and 5 routine samples in May. Also to distribute public notices for the total coliform MCL violation. A copy of the public notice is to be sent to the state.
