| Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrate 6.74 mg/L DETAILS: Chem alert for nitrate greater or equal to 50% of MCL of 10.0mg/L. Left message and then spoke to Chad regarding increase monitoring frequency required for nitrate from yearly to quarterly. Informed him the next sample for nitrate will be due in 2nd quarter of 2014 and will need to be tested for at least 3 consecutive quarters. Discussed health implications of nitrate in drinking water and traditional causes for increased levels found in drinking water. He stated he will collect nitrate samples when coliform sample are collected quarterly. ACTION NEEDED: I will follow up in may to ensure nitrate test has been collected or is planned to be collected. | ||
