| Details: | SUMMARY: Concerned about change of ownership DETAILS: I visited with Owner, Keun Soo Lee, regarding a email I read from a staff member stating that he is selling the facility. I wanted to verify to see if this was the case, for ODA would NOT license the new ownership of the facility until the water system is repaired. I talked with Mr. Lee and he stated that he is having problems with his well getting repaired. I explained to him that ODA would not issue the food license until the water was acceptable. He said that Skyles and Steves Pump is working on the old well. I called Steves Pump Service and talked with Jason about the situation. He stated that over the last two weeks a camera was placed down the well, the well was blown out and a new pump was placed on the existing well with no luck of clearing up the water. So the plan now is to drill a new well. Skyles had a assisted with the attempt to repair the old well. I do have a call into Skyles to ensure I understand where the situation has been left at. Jason stated that the only resort now is to drill a new well, I explained the need to go through plan review with the drinking water program and he suggested I talk to Kevin at Skyles who would be drilling the well if the owner decided to go that route. Jason also stated that there is no water the store at this time and there is a water truck they have provided at the firm. The store continues to be on a Cease and Desist order for use of their water for food processing or food service. The firm is only approved to sell packaged foods at this time. ACTION NEEDED: Waiting to hear back from Skyles to see what the plans are for drilling a new well and to ensure they are aware of the requirements to go through plan review with the Drinking Water Program. Also waiting for an action plan from the Owner, according to the letter that I sent dated April 21, 2014. | ||
