| Details: | SUMMARY: E. coli alert DETAILS: Lisa Anheluk was unavailable, but the USFS Deschutes receptionist got the message to Peter Enna, who phoned me back. Peter is the liaison with the campground concessionaire. He says Umpqua Lab (Bend) is on contract to take these samples, so it was the Lab who took yesterdays sample that came back positive for EC. Peter has contacted the concessionaire (Hoodoo), who will shut down the handpump for the weekend (not many people there anyway). They will also take the 4 required repeats. I made a point of telling him that one of the 4 samples from the handpump will need to be marked as a "Triggered Source" sample on the lab forms, to avoid a violation. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of repeat samples. | ||
