| Details: | Background/Problem Identification: At the request of Lincoln County officials and emergency staff, an assessment of this water system was made in light of the recent Echo Mountain fire. Assistance Provided: An on-site visit with Patty Heringer and a contractor, Dennis Grahn with Knottworks Construction, was conducted on 10/5/2020. The system was toured and information gathered. The water system was partially impacted by the fire. The well and storage tanks were not damaged, at present, it is likely there will be no impact to the groundwater source. The distribution system appears not to have been affected (except for one location that was damaged due to heat, which has been repaired). The water meters and service lines were melted and destroyed. The system appears to be functioning optimally for the two remaining residences. A response letter was prepared to help provide additional information and justify to insurance companies and/or FEMA the need for financial assistance to get this water system back to its original condition. Follow-Up Actions Needed: None at this time. Technical Reports to be Prepared and Expected Timeframe: Response letter dated October 16, 2020 was prepared and transmitted to Patty. |
