| Details: | SUMMARY: Routine total coliform positive for sample date 5/6/14 DETAILS: I spoke with the DRC to let him know about the total coliform positive. He knew about the positive & the lab had already been out to pull repeat samples. He indicated that submersible pump for well # 2 seems to have failed. They could not get it to turn on manually so they would have the pump company out to repair the system. I let him know to take a source sample at well # 1 since that is the well that was in operation at the time of the coliform detect. Well # 2 is a secondary well used only during high demand. I recommended that they pull a special sample from Well # 2 when its back up & operational. Especially if they have to pull the pump. I let him know that they needed 3 repeat samples in the distribution system. He said they took 4 so they had an extra. I reminded him to take 5 temp routine samples in the distribution system in the month of June. ACTION NEEDED: Monitor & respond if necessary. | ||
