Details: | Background/Problem Identification: At the request of Lincoln County officials and emergency staff, an assessment of this water system was made in light of the recent Echo Mountain fire. Assistance Provided: An on-site visit with David McKay and Paul Chamberlin (both with HMK Company) and Martin Klinger and John Murdock (with the PCWD) was conducted at the water treatment plant site. The treatment buildings were all burned down and temporary treatment facilities were being used. Of the 400 users, approximately 130 homes were burned. The PCWD is in need of immediate assistance to get their treatment system restored. John Hume, PCWD General Manager, joined us in an off-site meeting where we discussed next steps. In response to this meeting, we followed up with information about how OHA will regulate and their involvement with construction of a new WTP. Follow-Up Actions Needed: None at this time. Technical Reports to be Prepared and Expected Timeframe: Additional requested information was sent via email on 10/15/2020. |
