| Details: | SUMMARY: nitrate result over MCL DETAILS: The system had just recently (June 3-4) installed a brand new nitrate treatment system. The system is the exact same as the treatment originally installed. Therefore it did not need to go through plan review. It was installed by Advanced Plumbing. The cost was approximately $12,000. It is a Kinetico system with the same type of media and tanks. The only difference is a 5 micron pre-filter was installed. It is a bag filter that will be changed out quarterly to start. System is taking a pro-active approach and saw the need to replace the system. There was no sample collected right after install to ensure the treatment was working properly. Advanced Plumbing will be on site today, 6/24/14, at noon to work on it. Another nitrate sample will be collected when they feel the treatment is running properly. ACTION NEEDED: Post a public notice (received notice on 6/24/14). Notice to be posted and another nitrate sample to be collected as soon as possible. | ||
