Details: SUMMARY: more Xylene detections DETAILS: This third detection this year is a little troubling. That said, the detections a considerably below the MCL of 10 ppm:

5.13.14 sample = 1 ppb Total Xylenes
6.9.14 sample = 2 ppb Total Xylenes
7.7.14 sample = 1.3 ppb Total Xylenes ACTION NEEDED: Keep quarterly sampling until at least mid-2015.
Consider potential xylene sources in the river upstream of intake (e.g., gasoline?), or in the WTP itself.

Consider another lab just for the sake of verification.
