On July 28th, received a request to distribute a limited public notice to the Sundance area that serves about 125 customers.

More information was provided by system on July 30th noting suspected cause of contamination from a heavy rain event causing debris to wash into both reservoirs pump houses. The two Sundance reservoirs were inspected. Other than cracks on tanks’ exteriors due to aging, no known cause of contamination was found. Samples taken from both reservoirs were absent. Improvements are planned for both reservoirs and pump houses. A section of the area was chlorinated, mainlines flushed and samples collected.

On July 31st, a revised map of the affected area was received. Phone call with Gene noted samples taken outside this area were absent. Based on information provided describing infrastructure hydraulically isolating water to Sundance area, sampling and corrective action taken, a limited public notice to customers served in the affected area was acceptable. Gene will send the written public notice before distribution. ACTION NEEDED: No action needed at this time.
