| Details: | SUMMARY: July 2014 - Turbidity monthly report compliance DETAILS: Spoke to Ron on 8/5 about the daily turbidity readings for July and that our data group had noted that 3 out of the 31 daily readings were above 1 NTU, but below 5 NTU, for combined filter effluent. I indicated to Ron that DWS had changed the answer to the question 95 % of daily NTU readings <= 1 NTU? from Yes to No, as only 90 % of readings (28/31) were below 1 NTU. I then indicated that a tier 2 30-day public notice would be required due to not meeting the monthly NTU MCL. Ron indicated that on 7/29 (when higher #s began) he had begun to monitor NTU prior to 50 gal control tank, rather than after, upon DWS direction. He indicated that the values after control tank were less than 1 NTU, in the order of the earlier values in July. I forwarded MS word template for tier 2 turbidity public notice to Ron. ACTION NEEDED: System to work with DWS on location for combined filter effluent compliance sampling, and subsequent tier 2 public notice for July to customers for any turbidity MCL violation. | ||
