| Details: | SUMMARY: Update on on-line turbidimeter status DETAILS: Martin indicated that the 1720E on-line turbidimeter has been installed and is mounted at the plant. The system still needs to make some plumbing and electrical improvements, such as hooking it to the fuse box and running power to the instrument, and plumbing and wiring a shut-off valve such that high turbidity water would be diverted from the clearwell. System also needs a pump to send water up from the post-filter sampling port to the meter because the meter is above the port location on the floor. The resident who is working on the improvements is injured at the moment and not available. System expects to have meter up and running in the next month or two. ACTION NEEDED: System to notify DWS when on-line meter is operating and when Hach conducts site visit and system officially begins to monitor compliance effluent turbidity with instrument. Hach will calibrate quarterly and replace bulbs during first year of operation. DWS to provide support on monitoring and recording 4-hour compliance effluent turbidity currently with calibrated portable kit and eventually with on-line meter. | ||
