| Details: | SUMMARY: Routine total coliform positive samples DETAILS: Received call from Frank about two routine samples collected Aug. 19th were total coliform positive. We discussed total coliform MCL, collecting repeat samples (upstream, downstream and original) for each routine positive, triggered source samples from wells, in addition to sample invalidation. Frank noted flushing was being done. Repeats and source samples will be collected. A 30-day public notice to customer was also discussed. On Friday Aug 22nd, talked with Frank about follow-up sampling from Monday’s total coliform positive samples. Five of six repeats came back total coliform positive and the lower well #2 on commercial loop. They plan to flush the system through the weekend to purge water in the lower zone and shock well #2. Resampling will follow to confirm issue has been addressed. Five routine samples will be required in September. ACTION NEEDED: State will be notified of follow-up sample results to determine if further action is needed. |
