| Details: | SUMMARY: Relocation of well due to Nitrates DETAILS: The Hat Rock Water Company owns and operates a spring fed water system which supplies a population of approximately 75 through 38 connections. The spring has persistently high nitrate levels. The levels appear to be increasing, with the first sample at the MCL in February 2013. Circuit Rider had previously discussed possible treatment options for nitrate removal as well as possible source water control. Met with members of the water system board on site. Discussed potential treatment options for the nitrate. As the system is interested in a new well to replace or supplement the spring source, discussed design and plan review requirements. ACTION NEEDED: Assist CWS further if requested. | ||
