| Details: | SUMMARY: Alum Injection at Treatment Plant DETAILS: Douglas County Parks owns and operates a Ground Water System at the Chief Miwaleta County Park. Water is taken from a well and treated for iron through a greensand filter. The water system is experiencing a significant amount of sediment which is causing issues with the 5 micron paper cartridge filters. It was suggested by the park’s pump contractor that the addition of alum might be recommended to assist with the Circuit Rider was contacted by Jon Everett to assist with investigating the addition of alum. Reviewed information provided by Jon Everett and correspondence with Jay McPherson. Reviewed the well log to determine if the log could provide clues as to the nature of the sediment. ACTION NEEDED: Visit park to inspect the installation. | ||
