Details: | SUMMARY: On-line turbidimeter with high NTU alarm connected at plant DETAILS: Martin informed me that the 1720E continuous on-line turbidimeter has been installed today as designed after the filter and prior to the clearwell. The high NTU alarm is set at 0.30 NTU and HACH just finished their initial set up of the meter today. The on-line meter will replace the use of the portable meter for 4-hour compliance filter effluent turbidity readings. Martin indicated that both the portable and on-line meter are reading consistently below 0.05 NTU. Operators are noting the morning (8am) and evening (8pm) reading at the plant and then downloading the balance of the 4-hour reading data from a chip which they can connect to a separate computer at the end of the month. ACTION NEEDED: DWS to schedule water system survey with Martin this fall. System to begin reporting 4-hour readings on monthly turbidity and CT report sent to DWS. DWS to provide support in transition to on-line turbidity monitoring and reporting. |
