| Details: | SUMMARY: OERS report of a possible diesel spill near the river intake DETAILS: OERS incident number: 2014-2055 was forwarded onto the drinking water program at approximately 4:30pm on 9/19/14. The spill was reported at roughly 7am that morning. The possible spill location was reported on the Washington side of the Columbia River. Maps were reviewed in the Portland DWS and it was guesstimated that the spill could have been near the Hermiston intake. I spoke with Roy about the potential spill and sent the OERS report. No further information was received from any state agency regarding this report. The City only runs their filtration plant for approximately 2 hours a day. I recommended the City not use the plant for a day if possible to give any potential contaminants more time to move downstream. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
