| Details: | SUMMARY: Complaint about well water being used. DETAILS: DWS received a complaint via Amy Chapman at Lincoln County EH. Complaintant alleged that Drift Creek landing was using well water rather than creek or spring water and the well water was not safe. I spoke with Bruce and he confirmed that they had used well water from 9/30 to 10/8/14. They have now switched back to spring/creek water. I informed Bruce that he needs to test the well water for Coliform, Arsenic and Nitrates before using it again and advised him to test it before the dry season next year. The well water was treated (filtered and chlorinated) through the same treatment that the surface water receives before being sent to the distribution system. I talked to the complaintant and provided the above information. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
