Details: SUMMARY: Confirmed Ecoli in Source Well DETAILS: Triggered repeats on source water results show 4 of 5 Ecoli+. Left voice mail message with owner (Marilyn Bohannon) notifying her of public notice (boil water) and corrective action requirements. A quick review of file showed limited contact time between chlorine injection (residual maint) and restaurant (3 pressure tanks) - therefore no 4 log viral inactivation. Later was able to reach Justin Timbres of Josephine County Env Health - who said that the water in not being used - as the restaurant is currently being reconstructed. Unclear if chlorine injection system is still operational as restaurant burned down prior to current reconstruction efforts. I left message with Shawn Stevenson to inquire about any well evaluation. Since the water system is essentially inactive at this time, no further action is required, other than corrective action that needs to be performed prior to operating (activating) the water system - which may include source reconstruction or treatment providing 4 log viral inactivation. ACTION NEEDED: None at this time.
