| Details: | SUMMARY: MCL- Repeat total coliform positive for sample date 7/17/14 DETAILS: I contacted the operator & performed a field visit to find out the sample location. The routine & repeat positive samples were taken at the same location. All other samples taken were coliform absent. The location used was a misunderstanding by the lab tech. It had been taken at the wrong front hose bib. The bib was very close to the wall & ground. The sample location is a poor location to use & easily contaminated. I told the operator I would request that the positive routine & repeat sample be invalidated. I let the operator know that if the samples are invalidated the system would need another routine sample before the end of July. ACTION NEEDED: Send request to DWS that the coliform positive samples be invalidated. Have operator follow up with another July routine coliform sample. | ||
