| Details: | SUMMARY: Total Coliform Positive Triggered Samples DETAILS: Four of five Triggered well samples were total coliform positive. I discussed with Jim the need to keep the Boil water Notice up-- the DWP recommended disinfecting the well using 6 cups of bleach rather that the 1/2 gallon (8 cups) I suggested-- mixing one to two cups of bleach with four to five gallons of water into the well at a time and not putting all six cups of bleach in the well at one time. Additionally, I suggested installing a better sample tap (one that does not have a vacuum breaker). ACTION NEEDED: Keep Tier I (Boil Water) Public Notice posted.Disinfect and flush well.Take follow-up samples. | ||
