| Details: | SUMMARY: Aftermath of shock chlorinating the system DETAILS: No new coliform samples were displayed online yet, so I phoned Darla for the update since they shock chlorinated. She said they flushed the chlorinated water from the system, waited a few days, then took 4 or 5 samples this Monday (1/5/14). She heard from the lab yesterday that those samples were negative for coliform. ACTION NEEDED: If 5 samples were taken Monday, they will count as the 5 temporary routine samples due from this system in January, and they may resume quarterly sampling. If there were fewer than 5 taken, they need to make up the rest of the temporary routine samples before the end of the month. I suggested they also document the process they just learned for disinfecting their well and system. Darla says they are selling the place, so this information would greatly benefit the new owners. | ||
