| Details: | SUMMARY: Routine coliform sample taken in December 3, 2014 positive for total coliform bacteria DETAILS: Sent letter to Bob Llewlyn with copy to Linda Ashcroft:The routine sample taken on December 3, 2014 was positive for total coliform bacteria. The Oregon Drinking Water Rules for state regulated systems require that 4 repeat samples be taken. One repeat sample should be from the positive original tap, 2 repeat samples from the distribution line and one sample from the source. The following month in January 5 routine samples are required to be taken. Hopefully, these samples confirm that the water does not have coliform bacteria.If any of the repeat samples are positive for coliform bacteria, then the water is contaminated. The problem needs to be found and corrected. Usually at this point a system is chlorinated, flushed and resampled. If you have any questions, please call/email me. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
