| Details: | SUMMARY: Source AS sample E.coli Positive DETAILS: I told James to have the lab update the report to show this is a source assessment sample and not a routine distribution samples. James said the sample tap is close to the ground and thinks that a splash from the ground may have caused the temporary source of contamination. James also stated he did not clean the sample tap prior to collecting the sample. I suggested that they put a riser on the sample tap to eliminate the issue of splashing and to clean the spigot with alcohol and flush for 5 min prior to collecting the 5 confirmation samples. ACTION NEEDED: Clean source spigot, flush 5 min, collect 5 confirmation samples at source. | ||
