Details: | SUMMARY: Chem monitoring questions DETAILS: Although a county regulated system, Dave asked me these questions because I was already on the phone with him about Lost Creek CG (surface water). At Annie Springs, there was a mystery in the lead and copper schedule and results on Data Online, because he had been submitting L and C samples every 6 months for some 3 yrs, but these results did not show up on Data Online, though he remembered seeing them there before. He wanted to be sure of his current L and C requirements. Researched in Data Online, spoke to Chuck Michael, who said that he and Ramona realized the PWS was overdue to reduce from 6 mos to annual sampling last summer, they backdated the new annual schedule, which meant the Feb samples were no longer displayed (not taken during correct mos for annual sampling). Chuck showed me that these results were still there under "Details for current summary." We noticed they can now be reduced to every 3 yr L and C sampling. Explained this to Dave, and reviewed many Data Online pages with him. Question re: nitrate vs nitrite sampling- the lab takes care of how these 2 analytes are analyzed and reported. ACTION NEEDED: Will ask Ramona Quinn of Klamath County to request a schedule reduction for lead and copper to once every 3 years starting 1/1/2015. |
