| Details: | SUMMARY: On site meeting to explain needed well improvements DETAILS: Met with corporation president Mark Fay at the well. Showed to Mark the changes that are needed to the well head to prevent possible contamination of the well from flooding of the well pit. We discussed the boil water order put in effect September 2014, the need for continued chlorine residual in the distribution system as well as the required monthly reporting of the daily residual test results. We also discussed the options the water system has to address the fecal contamination found in the well in August 2014, taking source water assessment samples, possible changes to the water system including adding a direct line from the well to the storage tank to allow for better mixing of the chlorine with the well water before reaching the distribution system-- installing a flow and totalization meter on the well to measure and record the amount of water pumped. ACTION NEEDED: Re post required Public Notice - done 2-22-15Respond to the Survey letter currently being reviewed before being sent out.Investigate options to address the fecal contamination identified in the well Aug. 2014 | ||
