Details: | SUMMARY: COLI13832 coliform present in 1/5/15 temp routine sample DETAILS: Ed sent the following email on 1-7-15: WE HAD ANOTHER [coliform] PRESENT ON ONE OF THE FOUR SAMPLES.WHEN DO WE HAVE TO SUBMIT THE NEXT SAMPLES ?My response later on 1-7-15: All your January 5 samples should have been marked as TEMPORARY ROUTINES on the lab slips.1. Following any ROUTINE showing coliform present (whether TEMPORARY ROUTINE or not). 2. Collect 4 REPEAT samples as soon as practical plus one SOURCE sample from each well that was in use at the time of #1. 3. In the month following when sample #1 was done, collect 5 TEMPORARY ROUTINES which will be February……You are on #2 now. I call the 4 repeat sample confirmation samples. Despite the rule, I don’t see much value in you immediately spending money on these samples. Your recent sample history confirms there is some bacteria in the water. I would advise trying to find resolution to the source of contamination and then consider what samples to take. I wish I knew how to make sense of your crazy sampling history and could make a logical suggestion… There is a couple of professional water associations… maybe OAWU in Silverton OR would talk to you ? ACTION NEEDED: seek to identify and resolve source of contamination and 4 repeats as soon as practical and sample from wells and 5 temporary routine samples in February. | ||
