| Details: | SUMMARY: Compliance with SWTR DETAILS: The City of Monument operates a small system that serves approximately 100 people through 88 connections. Water is taken from a shallow well at the bank of the John Day River. This well has been determined to be Groundwater Under the Influence of Surface Water (GUI). As such, the City of Monument has been put on notice that filtration must be added to this source. In 2012, the Circuit Rider provided preliminary recommendations with the selection of treatment or new source technologies. The Circuit Rider was contacted by John Garlitz, the city’s engineering representative (J-U-B Engineers) to provide additional background on work completed in 2012 Provided information and well as a summary of efforts that were made in 2012. Reviewed initial recommendations to verify that they remain applicable. ACTION NEEDED: Provide additional assistance to water system if requested. | ||
