Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrate Alert Response DETAILS: Received alert for nitrate result of 12.1 mg/l from sample collected 5/4/15. Spoke with Jackie. The sample with the high result was from their backup well, which Jackie turned on just before collecting the sample. It ran through the reverse osmosis treatment for only a very short time before the sample was collected, so was likely not representative of water after the treatment system had been running for a greater length of time. A sample collected at the same time from the new primary well tested non-detect, which is more representative of what is being served. I asked Jackie to collect another nitrate sample from inside the hotel, which would be the correct location for entry point samples. ACTION NEEDED: System to collect another nitrate sample in June. | ||
