| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform alert DETAILS: Presumably the bad sample result is from the chlorinator not working for some time. I advise that you use extra chlorine over the weekend to kill any germs remaining in the water or in your pipes. The “kill” takes hours, that’s why you are doing it for the weekend. Please take some samples next week to show the water is cleaned up. Take some samples next month to show the water remains clean and the chlorination is working. Here are the samples that are supposed to be collected:Take Four total coliform samples ASAP from any tap(s) in the building and mark the lab slip REPEATSTake 1 total colform sample from the wellhead ASAP and mark the lab slip SOURCEIn June take 5 total coliform samples from any tap(s) in the building and mark the lab slip TEMPORARY ROUTINEPlease call me if any follow up samples show presence of coliform again. FYI: It takes 2 consecutive calendar quarters of clean water sample results to erase a violation due to poor sample results, missed sampling or an MCL violation.
