| Details: | SUMMARY: Summary of connection count site visit DETAILS: Together with Ian Stromquist of Hood River County, I distributed a tier 1 boil water notice by hand to customers of the water system due to fecal contamination in the system. Public notices must be re-distributed every 90 days as long as the violation persists. I counted 13 active connections to the water system at this time, i.e. piped water serving existing structures. These connections consist of 8 permanent RV units, 2 homes/mobile homes, 2 commercial establishments, and 1 industrial customer. Gene also indicated that one of the businesses, Big Genes Equipment Repair, has a public restroom and serves between 40 and 50 customers per day. Given this information, the system has been re-classified from a community system to a transient, non-community system as there are fewer than 15 connections, but at least 25 transient (not the same people each day) customers served by the water system per day. ACTION NEEDED: DWS to update records to reflect re-classification of water system type. | ||
