| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil Water Notice DETAILS: Alert ID: COLI 14336 The system collected 3 repeat and 1 triggered source samples on 7/8/15. The City Hall location had an E. coli detection with another location being positive for total coliform. The triggered source sample was absent for coliform. The system was put on a boil water notice upon notice of these results. A visit was made out the to the water system. A public notice template was handed to the operator. The notices were copied and distributed door-to-door by community members. 5 additional samples were collected that afternoon. System will base decision to chlorinate upon next set of results. No immediate red flags were seen in the determination of the E. coli source. The storage tank will be given a roof top inspection tomorrow. (7/10/15) The sample taps used by the operator may not be the best taps. These are dedicated sampling stations but they are stop and waste valves. The valve by City Hall has been leaking and valve area had water in it prior to today. The system has experienced 2 electrical outages but system pressure has been unaffected due to gravity flow and tank volume. ACTION NEEDED: All actions have been performed to this point - will wait for further test results before the boil water notice can be lifted. | ||
