| Details: | Spoke to system contact Freya about recent nitrate detection being at 9 mg/L. This sample was collected right after the water system lost power for 10 days during the ice storm and Freya asked if that could have affected the sample. I recommended they collect a confirmation sample to see if the level of nitrate has changed. I also recommended going to quarterly monitoring if the confirmation sample is still high (near 10 mg/L). Freya said they would contact the lab and get the confirmation sample scheduled. She also had some questions about treatment for nitrate. Will follow up on sample results. | ||
