| Details: | SUMMARY: Issuance of boil water notice - fecal contamination in well #1 DETAILS: Alicia and I spoke about the follow up steps to the confirmed E. coli contamination in well #1 (field well), as 2 confirmation samples from well returned E. coli + on 8/17. System had valved off well #1 after initial E.Coli + assessment sample on 8/13, and has been using well #2 exclusively. System had drained the pressure tank, and notified staff of fecal contamination in well and that bottled water is available as a result after confirmed results came back. System is unsure about the usage of water over the past 3-4 days. Because of questions about the slug of fecal contaminated water from well #1, the lack of 4-log viral inactivation, system was placed on a boil water notice on 8/18. ACTION NEEDED: System to post tier 1 boil water notice for fecal contamination throughout facility today (8/18) with copy to DWS. System to chlorinate the entire distribution system, flush, and take a representative number of coliform bacteria samples in distribution to request lifting of the boil water notice from the County, most likely in next day or two. | ||
