| Details: | SUMMARY: Water quality complaint DETAILS: I received a phone call from a resident at the Deer Pointe water system in Columbia County. She stated that the water has smelled of sewage for four or five months and has also been noticed by two neighbors. The appearance of the water is unchanged. Both phone calls and letters to a park manager have not been returned and no apparent action has been taken. During our discussion I mentioned the detection of bacteria in water samples collected in january 2015 and a required public notice reported to DWS but Ms. Steelman stated she did not receive a copy of the notice nor did her neighbors. ACTION NEEDED: I provided Ms. Steelman the phone number for both the Columbia County Health Dept. and the current operator in charge of the water system whom Ms. Steelman had reportedly never heard of prior to our conversation. I also forwarded the complaint to DWS engineer James Nusrala and Joel Ferguson of Columbia County. | ||
