Details: | SUMMARY: Missed Coliform Sample for April - June Quarter 2014. DETAILS: Walter Boles is trying to have a temporary Mushroom Pickers Work or Labor Camp in the community of Chemult, Or. The camp is for mushroom pickers and their families for the harvest period of September 1 to October 31 (approx). He has operated a similar camp for the last few years. Included in the camp is provision of water for drinking, cooking, etc. Because her provides drinking water for 25 or more people for 60 or cays of the year, he operates a public water system. The system consists of a well, pressure tank and about 14 hose bibs from which campers obtain water. The system appears to have been a water system several years ago but ceased operation for several years. Walt opened the Mushroom Camp about 2010. Approximately three years ago he was notified that a plans of his system needed to be reviewed and approved. Notifications have been sent to previously known addresses but notices were returned. Today Ramon and I talked with Walt and told him that he needed to obtain approval of his plans before we could approve his Klamath County Temporary Use Permit Application. He was directed to call Jay MakPherson at the Springfield Office for Plan Review information and requirements. He was also told that a well log of the well being used would be needed and that the log may be able to be obtained from the Water Resources Division. ACTION NEEDED: Obtain plan approval of this system--Provide current conforming coliform and nitrate sample result data. |
