| Details: | SUMMARY: Loss of positive pressure - broken main response DETAILS: Bob called at 4 pm on 9/2 to indicate that a mainline break occurred near the entry to Beavers plant due to construction activity around 12 pm today. The distribution system at Beaver lost positive pressure, with visual muddy water in the affected section of distribution system. Consequently, a boil water notice due to zero pressure conditions will be issued at the Beaver power plant today. Port Westward, a separate section of the distribution system, was not impacted and maintained positive pressure, so the public notice will be limited to Beaver. System following DWS BMP to fix the leak, restore service, flush, verify adequate pressures and chlorine residuals. System hopes to collect coliform sample on Thursday, before consulting with DWS to lift the boil water notice. ACTION NEEDED: System to implement BMP, and consult with DWS to lift the public notice. 9/8/15 - Systems 5 special distribution samples were all coliform absent, and boil water notice lifted on 9/6/15 by DWS. | ||
