Details: | SUMMARY: Total Coliform Positive Routine Sample DETAILS: I received an alert for a total coliform positive routine sample taken 8/28/15. Jim Anderson left a message on 8/31/15 while I was out of the office. I spoke to Jim Anderson on 9/1/15 when Jim called to discuss the repeat sampling requirements. He explained that he had already taken 3 repeat samples on 8/31/15, but was unclear what additional sampling was needed. I explained that 3 repeat samples was sufficient. We received the repeat sample results on 9/2/15. I realized on 9/3/15 that triggered source samples would be needed from the City of Dayton, which supplies Lafayette with groundwater. I called Scott Pingel with the City of Dayton and notified him of the sampling and he contacted Jim Anderson to complete the sampling. Jim and I spoke and Jim agreed that on 9/4/15 he would collect a triggered source sample from each of wells 1-5 that supply EP-D for the City of Lafayette. ACTION NEEDED: a triggered source sample needs to be taken from each of wells 1-5 from the City of Dayton. 5 temporary routine samples need to be taken from the City of Lafayette in the month of October. Provided all temporary and triggered samples are absent of bacteria, normal sampling can resume beginning in November. | ||
