| Details: | I communicated to Jamie via email that the detections of two VOCs from wells #2,3, and 5 in 1st quarter 2021 are in the range of the initial detections of the chemicals in 3rd quarter 2020, and since they are reliably and consistently below the MCLs, the entry point monitoring for each may be reduced from quarterly to annually. Specifically, -Tetrachloroethylene-PCE and Trichloroethylene-TCE were detected at 0.0015 and 0.0006 mg/L, respectively in first quarter, consistent with earlier data well below the MCLs of 0.005 mg/L for both. -Monitoring for each reduced to annually during first quarter (quarter with highest result) with next due in first quarter 2022. After three years of annual monitoring can be reduced to every 3 years with a waiver. -Jamie noted well #3 had been identified as source of detected organics and that media in packed aeration towers for well will be replaced and properly sanitized this spring to address detects. |
